In Ms. Haun's class, her students are learning how to make butter on their field trip to Maple Tree Farm. Students learned that you need three things to make butter: heavy cream, a container, and your muscles to shake the heavy cream until it solidifies. #atthePark
Starting on November 1st, each student in Mrs. Simms' class shares one thing they are thankful for. They write it on their "Thankful Pumpkin." The day the students leave for Thanksgiving break, the class will read them and reflect on all that we are thankful for!!! #atthepark
Ms. Wang's class has been busy! They are enjoying flexible seating during reading time, having a panther party after collecting all 20 panther paws, and are sharing a picture from the first grade field trip. What fun! #atthePark
Here are Ms. Hoffman's students making giant shapes on the floor with their bodies. When we learn about a shape's sides and vertices, each student gets a turn to help make a shape. The other students then stand up and "trace" the sides and point to the vertices. The kids always love doing this fun kinesthetic activity!

Mrs. Lacey's 2nd-grade ESL students love Pete the Cat! They have been applying their reading comprehension skills to a variety of Pete the Cat books. They even used Pete's "magic sunglasses" to locate sight words! #atthePark

Ms. Pullen’s class is learning about renewable energy and made “puff cars.” They had to use wind energy to see who’s car would travel the fastest. #atthePark

Ms. Groene's Kindergarten class made the skittle rainbow after reading “A Bad Case of the Stripes” and diagnosed the skittles as a rainbow virus. This activity helped the students practice their vocabulary words and also led into discussions about doctors as community helpers.
Ms. Petras's class has been busy investigating the sun and the Earth. Using chalk, they tracked how shadows move throughout the day. Then they recorded the sun's movements by drawing pictures! This class is so bright! #atthePark
