Remember the Fine Arts Festival is this week! We hope to see you this Thursday from 5-7pm at #ThePark!

4th and 5th graders in stage crew have enjoying getting to use a fun new tool called a Beaver Bot to cut out cardboard props and stage decorations for this years play "Alice in Wonderland ". Stayed tuned to see what other amazing things our students are able to do with this machine in the art room!

Spellers spelled 90 words at the SPES annual Spelling Bee. The final winning word was “paltry,” spelled correctly by Alice Nolasco (5th grade). Alice took home the 1st place medal, followed by 2nd place Mariam Romeron (4th grade) and 3rd place Angel Arevalo Duran (5th grade). These spellers will represent Sycamore Park at the county spelling bee on January 21st. C-O-N-G-R-A-T-U-L-A-T-I-O-N-S!

Layton will read his new book The Gingerbread Rex, share what it’s like to write and illustrate a story, and lead students in a step-by-step directed drawing activity. Every student will go home with their very own illustration!
