Visitors to Sycamore Park Elementary will notice a warm and welcoming change when they enter the building. Last Friday, the school’s front lobby received a makeover designed by two longtime staff members, Registrar Lynda Blume and Bookkeeper Tammy Butler, both of whom have served the school for more than 20 years.
Principal Dan Birch shared that he was excited about the update and thought it was special that the ideas and design came from two of the school’s most experienced employees. The redesign brings a fresh, inviting feel to the space, reflecting the creativity and dedication of the staff who know the school best.
To preserve a touch of history, the school’s classic “squirrel” painting, a beloved piece of Sycamore Park tradition, was relocated to the entrance near the cafeteria, ensuring it remains a visible part of the school community.
To showcase the transformation, Sycamore Park shared a short video reel capturing the process and final results. You can view the reel on the school’s Facebook page: Watch the lobby makeover.
