Join us for Spirit Week March 27-March 31 to celebrate the last week of National Reading Month!

Due to the inclement weather, Culpeper County Schools will open 2 hours late today, Monday, March 13, 2023. Essential personnel report on time, all other personnel report 2 hours late.

AGR P. E. Teacher Mr. Downs kicked off a before-school sports club this morning. Over 100 students attended! After discussing expectations for the club, students played several rounds of dodgeball! There are so many students that they will alternate weeks to play. Great job!

AGR 5th Grade teacher Mr. Hallett presented the BAM lesson yesterday after school, explaining events in his life that were examples of good, and poor, sportsmanship. Next week, students in BAM will have a kickball game, putting sportsmanship above all else.

Mrs. Bridges' 1st Graders began their sound unit in Science with an activity to explore and identify various items dropped into a "drop chamber." The 3-day lesson will conclude on Monday, with the students creating a code - using only sounds - to spell words!

While Read Across America week has officially ended, AGR continued to celebrate it throughout this week, with DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) time on Thursday (pictured are 2nd and 4th Grades) as well as book giveaways, and reading night. AGR loves to read! Great job Bulldogs!

AGR murals in the cafeteria are complete!! @ccpsEVHS students Lily May and Makaia Bliss, as well as EVHS alumni Matthew Fossen, finished the second mural yesterday! Amazing job!!
Our next school improvement project will be Buddy Benches built by Roque Castro. Posts upcoming..

Family Fitness night is Thurs, March 16th & open to all AGR students and families. It will take place in the Gym/Cafeteria from 5:30pm-7:30pm. This is not a drop off event, students must be accompanied by a family member, and there is no need to RSVP as this is a walk-in event.

A photographer from Strawbridge Studios will be at AGR on Mar. 29 to photograph your spring pictures! The photographers will also take group/class pictures. Please see the flyers below for information & ordering options. Any questions can be sent to Mrs. Hadlock in the office.

Thanks to reading specialists Mrs. Berry and Mrs. Rendell, along with all our volunteers and attendees, for making this event possible! The event will end promptly at 6:30. Pizza is being served - just bring your food ticket!

AGR murals in the cafeteria are almost complete - @ccpsEVHS students finished one yesterday and started the next. Both will be "unveiled" at an upcoming family night - possibly the Mar. 16 event - along with the Buddy Benches built by Roque Castro, an SCA project from last year.

BAM Club members spent yesterday reviewing, discussing, & practicing what they learned about bullying. For the activity, students had to "take back" the salt, pepper, and sugar and return them to their bags. It was a metaphor that it is difficult to take back things we say.

AGR students in all grades spent 15 minutes yesterday for DEAR (Dropping Everything And Read), among other activities for Read Across America week. Here, 5th Grade students in Mr. Hallett's class took advantage of nice weather and read outside. Great job Bulldogs!
